FLORENCE, Ky. – November 5, 2012 – Chuy’s, an Austin, Texas-based restaurant known for its authentic, fresh food and eclectic décor, will unite voters over plates of Tex-Mex when it opens its new restaurant at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 6 at 6825 Houston Rd. in Florence, Ky.

Diners will cast their vote for Chuy’s after tasting signature meals including the Burritos As Big As Yo’ Face, Stuffed Chile Rellenos and Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchiladas. Food lovers will unite over the flour and corn tortillas that are hand-rolled daily on the authentic comal located in the dining room, allowing customers to experience the freshness first hand.

“The only vote we’re concerned about is a vote for made-from-scratch food” said Rocky Sheehan, local Owner/Operator of Chuy’s Florence. “Election Day is obviously very important to this great country, but so is a full stomach after a tough day at the ballot box.”

For the adult crowd, Chuy's famous margaritas are made with fresh-squeezed lime juice and the Texas Martini is made-to-order, hand-shaken and served with special jalapeño-stuffed olives. Chuy's is known for their Fully-Loaded Nacho Car, located in the bar. Every Monday thru Friday from 4-7 p.m., Chuy's fills the trunk of the car with FREE chips, salsa, queso, taco meat and more for the Happy Hour crowd to enjoy.

But Chuy’s is much more than just fresh food. Diners seeking a unique atmosphere will enjoy the famous Elvis Presley shrine, a wall full of framed pictures of local dogs and the hubcap-covered ceiling in the appropriately named “Hubcap Room.”

In addition to its famous food and atmosphere, the cornerstone of the Chuy’s philosophy is to give back to their community. Chuy’s Florence has partnered with the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center by hosting fundraising events beginning in September and continuing through Tuesday’s opening and for years to come.

Chuy’s Florence will be open seven days a week and will be serving both lunch and dinner, as well as offering a to-go service. The restaurant can be reached at (859) 525-2489.

Exclusive updates and giveaways can be found at www.facebook.com/ChuysFlorence or www.Chuys.com.

My family just relocated here from Texas, and we love our Mexican food! Needless to say when we got here we tried several Mexican food restaurants! Not one of them compared to our Mexican food back home in Texas! So when we saw they were opening a Chuy's, we were so excited! We are from the Houston area and we love Chuy's! Highly recommend it to anyone who likes Mexican food!! Thank you Chuy's for coming to Kentucky! Makes it a little easier to find a taste of back home! Good Ol' real Tex Mex taste!!

I have never heard of a dog wall either. google shoed a picture of a dogs head mounted on a wall as if the dog stuck it's head through ahole in the wall. I am not sure you want to know what they did with the remainder of the dog, but make sure your tamales don't wag before you eat them.

I think I would qualify 35 restaurants as a chain, regional but still a chain. And any gringo that eats at a mexican place needs to know they will be eating spit. Are the illegals migrating to florence nowadays? Just a note winston, the internet is full of recipes and if you need any special spices or ingrediants, still look for it on the internet (unless Jungle Jims is not too far for you. I am lucky if I make it there once a year)

First of all Chuys isn't a chain, it's an independent company with about 35 restaurants now. Everything but the kid burgers and nuggets are made from scratch daily. EVERYTHING. It is a small independent business that grew into something almost everyone loves in Austin. That's what successful small businesses and restaurants do, they grow. As for the dog wall, at the first Chuys if you brought in a cool or funny picture of your dog you would get free Queso. The original owners are dog lovers. So keep your unwelcome, uneducated remarks to yourself until you have tried Chuys or know something about the company or the food. It's easy to criticize something you know nothing about.

Best Mexican food ever!! It's about time that we get a real Mexican Restaurant! Finally will not have to drive 80 miles to Louisville to get our Chuys fix!

I wonder if they'll have any green chili stuff. Almost impossible to get green chili con carne or even an Ortega chili burger anyplace east of Albuquerque.

So...another chain--of course! Why can't Florence residents (and the city of Florence) be more welcoming to independent businesses? It's just the same old crap and sprawl, day in and day out. If it isn't fast food, it's Craplebees or some other chain that the masses flock to.

Wouldn't a "dog wall" be more appropriate in a chinese restaurant?
