A Milford man faces charges for allegedly shooting at his girlfriend and then holding his children hostage.
Police say Douglas Thomas fired bullets at his girlfriend last night around 9 p.m. at a home on State Route 28. The woman, whose name was not released, was not hurt.
Police say when they arrived on scene, Thomas locked himself in the home with his children and a weapon. Milford Police and Terrace Park police negotiated the release of the children and eventually, Thomas surrendered.
He faces charges of domestic violence, using a weapon while intoxicated, inducing panic, and child endangering. Thomas is behind bars at the Clermont County Jail.
