ST. GEORGE, Utah - A Utah woman is out of the hospital after being crushed by a boulder while asleep in her bed.
CNN affiliate station KUTV reports Wanda Denhalter, while in shock and injured, somehow managed to find her phone and call 911 on Saturday afternoon. Her husband, Scot, was at their son's home nearby when police found him.
"The officer told me she had been in an accident and she [had] just bought a car, and that's what I thought had happened. An unfamiliar vehicle and that she'd had a smash up or something," said Scot Denhalter.
But that wasn't the case.
Wanda Denhalter suffered a broken jaw, a cracked sternum, and a large gash.
Scot Denhalter told KUTV when they bought their home beneath the ridge in St. George, he liked the shade it provided in the summer, but warned his wife about something like this happening.
Joking with reporters, Denhalter said "She needs to the listen to the prophetic musings of her husband."
