That is why you should stay away from a crucifix

It sounds like a story in the bible, man prays to God to save his wife, offers anything in return for her health. God saves her life but it cost the man his leg. Now the man tries to take advantage of the situation and sue the church. I don't think a delivery man is going to make 3 million dollars in 10,20,30 years. If there is a God then there is a devil, and the idiot just fell for the devils trick. dumb*ss

The church did not ask or hire this man to do the work on the crucifix, this man asked to be able to do this. This man climbed up onto the base and held onto a cross piece for support ignoring any safety issues when the crucifix wasn't able to support the added weight it gave way. The man was injured out of his own negligence the screw held the crucifix just fine this man decided that it was easier to climb up there than to use a ladder of course it wasn't made to hold the added weight of a grown man. All of his medical bills were paid be charitable organizations and the church helped to raise $7000 extra dollars to help this family. They are not liable for his accident due to the fact that his negligence and actions cased his own injury.

It sounds like he knocked the thing over. It's his own fault.

It was an accident, but the church could have paid his medical bills.

It's called GREED!!! You don't offer to do something for someone and then sue them for your own negligence. He is looking for an easy way of life because if he weren't he would be satisfied by his medical bills that were paid along with the money people donated to his family. Get over it mister and get a job, your not the first person to lose a limb.

I wonder how many years this Crucifix had be standing there? I mean he did climb up on it to do the cleaning. What, no ladder? He ignored any possible safety issues, so it's kinda his fault, not the Crucifix's.

This is a tough one to know what's right. I wouldn't want to be the judge who decides this and I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to figure out if this may be a true test from God.
