The Clermont County Sheriff has arrested a Felicity man and accuse him of stabbing another man in a fight over medication.
Deputies say they found the victim, 31 year old Matthew Gerde of Bethel in the parking lot of Bantam Church around 9 p.m. Tuesday night. He'd been stabbed in the chest and back.
Gerde told deputies that he had driven to a home on Crane Schoolhouse Road and confronted 35 year old Scott Benjamin of Felicity, accusing him of stealing medication from his mother. A fight ensued and Benjamin allegedly stabbed Gerde with a knife. The weapon was later found in a field near the site of the fight.
Gerde was flown to University Hospital. He is expected to survive.
Benjamin was arrested and is charged with felonious assault and tampering with evidence.
