One man is dead after the S.W.A.T. team was called to a standoff in North Fairmount.
Cincinnati Police said the man turned a gun on himself after they tried to arrest him.
Police responded to an apartment comple on McHenry just before 12:30 Friday morning after being told a woman was being held hostage inside.
They arrived to find the woman running outside, followed by the suspect.
Police said while they tried to arrest the man, he crawled back into his apartment and they heard a shot fired.
S.W.A.T. was called.
After about an hour, officers went inside and found the man dead.
