Monet Michelle - Respectful people don't sell a illegal drug like heroin to help people destroy their lives, he was a predator of the weak, respectful people don't try to kill police officers he had no respect for the laws of our country. Either you really didn't know him like you think you did, he had you fooled or your perspective of respectful is extremely sckewed.

What am I missing here. One part of the story says Officer Andre Smith shot the guy. Another part says Officer Orlando Smith shot him and then the story again identifies Oficer Andre Smith. Are they one and the same or are there two different Officer Smith's involved? Not complaining, just wondering. No matter which Smith got the guy, I'm just glad somebody did. Come to think of it, there didn't happen to be an Officer Wesson involved too, was there? :)

It is a shame that only one of these three criminals is laying in the morgue . Thankfully no innocent citizens or police officers were injured . This guys had no problem shooting at armed officers do you really think they would be afraid to kill unarmed citizens ? No not good men if any of them were good men they would not be dealing drugs or shooting at police officers just like the drug dealer killed in Fairfield you reap what you sow !

@Monet Michelle - The commenters here don't know your friend. All they know is that he was dealing heroin and tried to kill cops. He showed no compassion through his actions that could have harmed others so why should anonymous commenters show any? It's a cold world. This news report is all they have of your friend and nothing in it screamed kind, respectful, or loveable. You have the right to remember him as you wish and the commenters have the right to voice their opinion on this story. To expect your friend to receive nice and friendly comments considering what he did is borderline delusional, considering this day & age.

Officer Smith should be on paid administrative leave pending the generation of paperwork for his promotion !!

I feel sympathy for the police officer who had to take a life.

If you are dumb enough to open fire on a police officer ,you are asking to be killed. Kind,respectful,and lovable people dont ruin other peoples lives by dealing drugs. They dont imperil others by resisting arrest. They dont try to murder police officers who are only doing their duty. Wow, they are carrying this self esteem BS to ridiculous extremes.
