A man who allegedly shot out the windows of a St. Bernard bank on Monday was tracked down by the SWAT team late Wednesday night.

Police said 45-year-old Darren Belcher was arrested at home on Lawrence St.

Investigators said Belcher was upset after leaving a neighborhood bar Monday night that wouldn't let him play the jukebox during Monday Night Football.

Then he allegedly shot out the two front windows at the Wes Banco Bank located at 4500 Vine Street in St. Bernard at 9:37 p.m.

Officers say Belcher was drunk and admitted to the crime.

He's charged with weapons under disability and vandalism.

So the idiot already had a conviction for carrying a concealed weapon then he goes and gets another gun OOPS#1. He carries it in public OOPS#2, goes into a bar OOPS#3, gets drunk (while carrying a gun (that he should never have had access to in the first place) OOPS#4. Leaves the bar drunk and angry because they did not want him to play the juke box while Monday night football was on the TV-that is not so much an oops as WTF. Leaves the bar and shoots out a couple of windows of a business nearby OOPS #5, which coincidentally around the corner from his house. (and no he is not married but) apparently he has some relative on the city payroll because the whole episode is about to be swept under the rug and forgotten about by the justice system pretty much like his first CCW conviction, Cincinnati style corruption. nepotism trumps all oopses in Cincinnati.

Shooting out windows is bad enough, but the glaring crime here having a firearm under disability. Of all the multitude of gun laws in this country that is the one that makes the most sense to any reasonable person. It shows that a person is not trustworthy with respect to hurting others with a firearm. I'm no lawyer, but in most of the cases where this charge was filed, it is plea bargained away. I was under the impression that this charge carried an automatic prison sentence. We'll have to wait and see that the courts do with this. More gun laws are NOT the answer! Just enforce the ones we already have!

Decades ago , a man was shot and killed in the "Little Bar" in Covington. He had played "Dean Martin's" "Little Old Winemaker Me" 20 times. Another customer told him that if he played it again he would kill him. Of course he had to play it the 21st time. The other customer was as good as his word. He pulled out a pistol and shot him dead.

What an idiot. Shoots out the banks windows because the bar wouldn't let him play the jukebox. He's gone through life "drunk and stupid" and it has caught up with him.
