A man accused of selling heroin while working at a Norwood fast food restaurant is now in jail. Norwood Police said 20 year old Thomas Rainey is facing four counts of trafficking in drugs and one count of drug possession.
Rainey worked at the White Castle in Norwood.
Investigators said they made the arrest after members of Norwood's Drug Task Force bought heroin from Rainey on three occasions. Rainey allegedly sold the drugs in the restaurant's parking lot.
Officers say when he was arrested, Rainey had scales, drugs, and $600 in cash on his person. Detectives say its unusual to catch a drug dealer who also holds down a full time job, but they believe Rainey and his customers felt comfortable making their deals in the parking lot because the area was busy, and they could blend in more easily.
