A  man accused of selling heroin while working at a Norwood fast food restaurant is now in jail. Norwood Police said 20 year old Thomas Rainey is facing four counts of trafficking in drugs and one count of drug possession.

Rainey worked at the White Castle in Norwood.

Investigators said they made the arrest after members of Norwood's Drug Task Force bought heroin from Rainey on three occasions.  Rainey allegedly sold the drugs in the restaurant's parking lot.

Officers say when he was arrested, Rainey had scales, drugs, and $600 in cash on his person. Detectives say its unusual to catch a drug dealer who also holds down a full time job, but they believe Rainey and his customers felt comfortable making their deals in the parking lot because the area was busy, and they could blend in more easily.

Norwood is a major heroin spot in Hamilton County. Everybody knows. Why? Now that's another question. Maybe check on the ILLEGAL population? Naw....that would be politically incorrect.

If pot were legal, how would it be sold? In pouches at Walgreens and Krogers along with the Borkum Riff, Bugler, and Captain Black? Or in pre-rolled packs at the BP? Would UDF carry it? Or would you need to go to a high end smoke shop and choose from flavored blends? Mmmm coffee cavendish ganja Columbian with a dash of Arabian camel dung....

Used to be, you got pot... THEN went to White Castle and ordered 16 of them... now you can get 'em both at once! Although by the time the weed kicks in, the WCs will be cold and they really aren't so good that way.

Well I wonder if everyone is thinking............. WOW is this what our society has come to, now in 2012?? I hate to tell you, but I had a boss at Pizza Hut, when I was 18 yrs old, that not only sold pot out of the store, but he even took home the CO2 tanks, to spray his plants!! I guess people would call in and order a certain pizza, and he would slide a bag of weed right inside the box!! Pretty lucrative business even back in the late 70's early 80's!! But YES I will say, that this whole heroin thing is wayyyyy out of control!! The police depts. need to get some really good plan on how to get a grip on this maddness!! I say, take a kid as soon as you know they are using heroin and let them see a person that has done it, regularly for say 6 months to a year, and hopefully that would be enough to convince them to stay far away from that crap!!!

There is a guy who works at the Norwood Larosa's who sells pot and pills. The cops need to go do a sting there too.
