The storms that blew through the Tri-State late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning caused significant damage to a Mason home.
A lightning strike sparked a house fire in the 5100 block of Songwood Drive. A neighbor spotted flames at the home and banged on the door around 12:30 Thursday morning.
Two women inside were able to escape the flames.
Part of the roof of the home collapsed as firefighters were trying to put the flames out.
Investigators are still working on a damage report.
