Kroger is giving up to five million dollars to non-profit organizations this year and those who use their Kroger Plus Card not only earn savings, but they can help benefit the Hamilton County Parks Foundation.

It takes just three simple steps to support the parks through the Community Rewards Program.

Once you are enrolled, qualified purchases made with a Kroger Plus Card will contribute to the Foundation.

The Community Rewards program does not affect personal shopping savings or Kroger fuel points.

quality products, fair prices, good customer service is what I look for when shopping. I don't particularly care to pay higher prices so that the money can be distributed to organizations that I'm already being taxed for. So, no thank you.

I already have to pay too much in property taxes to the Hamilton County Parks. Now I am going to pay higher prices at Kroger because of them. The last levy they put on was for 15 years so that they wouldnt have to deal with pesky voters. Last year they doubled the cost of a yearly sticker which is the same for Hamilton County property tax payers,as it is for everyone from outside the county and state. For whetever reason they got their political cronies in the state legislature to take them out from under the oversight of the Hamilton County Auditor. They can kick Grandma out of her house with eminent domain. They are just another voracious ever expanding government evil empire that never gets enough from the taxpayers, regardless of a poor economy. In my decision to shop or not to shop at Kroger ,this is not a plus factor. They should just give us lower prices. Isnt it enough that the government takes our money and gives it to aomeone else? Now private businesses want in on the confiscatory act.

How can this organization solicit the general public to sign up when the terms and conditions I signed for my nonprofit organization strictly prohibited me from solicitation of the general population? It's not fair to the small nonprofits.

I'd rather have lower prices be a reason to shop there, but I guess giving to the Parks Foundation is a good thing for them to do.
