Jungle Jim's International Marketplace Eastgate Opens Today

I shop at the Fairfield store every two weeks and can't remember running into any rudeness from anybody. My husband and I make it a date by having lunch there in addition to shopping. The only rudeness I experienced recently was some idiot male employee pushing their fire sauce samples (a promotion for their upcoming event). When he heard some poor guy was in the bathroom throwing up from the hot sauces, the moron laughed. Believe you me, I went up one side of that azz hull and down the other and made him feel like the bug he is. My husband's laughing at him probably helped, I'm sure. I also reported the guy to a manager and I hope he got fired. You don't laugh over another's physical distress. That was unacceptable. Fortunately, in all the years we've shopped there, that was the only time we were less than impressed with customers or employees. Jungle Jim's is a great place to shop, and their prices beat Krogers on just about everything!

At least this trolly goes somewhere useful.

the hillbillies in Bat-a-via and 'burg are not going to tolerate the high prices at Jungle Jim's. Before you get your panties in a knot, I'm from that area and love the area, and many of the hillbillies are cousins.

I think it's a mistake. Maybe good for Eastgate in the short term, but the kind of inventory that has made JJ's Fairfield what it is can't be maintained in two places. Yes, it's about the inventory not all the other junk. Without those shelves being full of unique items you can't get anywhere else it's just a bunch of junk.

Hopefully, this cuts the number of rude foreigners at the Fairfield location in half.
