Jeff Ruby's Walnut Street Grill has closed its doors.
The restaurant had its last service over the weekend on Saturday night.
Employees will be relocated to other Jeff Ruby restaurants around the area.

According to a post shared on Walnut Street Grill’s Facebook page…

“Dear Friends,

This evening, we closed our doors for good. We can't thank you enough for your kindness and loyal support over this past year. We appreciate the chance to have served you and this incredible community.

If you have a Walnut S...treet Grill gift card or certificate purchased through CincySavers.com, please know that they will be honored at any of Jeff Ruby's restaurants (visit www.jeffruby.com for a complete listing).

Looking at the exciting opportunities that lie ahead, we're pleased that almost all of the talented management, kitchen and service staff will be relocated to other JRCE restaurants including new steakhouse concepts in the planning stages in Lexington, KY and elsewhere.

Again, thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you soon.”

First ,you have to pay to park. Then you have to run the gauntlet of assorted, thieves, bums, alkies ,and perverts. Then you have to be overcharged for food by punk servers who ask if you want your change. After that you may get stopped by CPD trolling for DUIs. Bon Appetite!

put a quality restaraunt there that has great food at low prices. the economy sucks and most people don't have alot of money to spend on $50 prime rib!LOL! $10 meals, i'd bet they'd make ALOT more revenue and be alot more profitable. just my opinion.

I am surprised he did not wait until after the Choir Games. I know some businesses are extending their hours to capitalize on the crowds. You think he would have at least delayed by two weeks and taken advantage of the increased business before closing the doors.

Funny how they will NEVER consider putting an inexpensive fast-food place in that spot. Yes, I know that Arby's came and went, but they had the slowest, most inattentive service imaginable, and that corner was a hangout for the bums. But a 2 story fast-food place there and it will be overrun by customers. Just look at the Wendy's on 4th. Instead, we'll get yet another eclectic eatery with black and chrome finish, built just like those places on New York City that chage $8.00 for a beer and $15.00 for a burger.

I have to wonder how many of those employees could be absorbed by the other restaurants. Some may find it difficult to get to the other locations due to transportation issues. Shame on Ruby for not giving them more notice.

At least it sounds like a company that cares about their employees by relocating them to other restaurants. I will give them credit for that anyway.
