Jacob Bumpass was picked up Thursday on a parole violation.  Bumpass is believed to be the last person to see Northern Kentucky teenager, 17-year-old Paige Johnson, alive.

Prosecutors tell Local 12 that Bumpass was arrested because there was beer in his home. A condition of his probation is that there be no alcohol in the house.  He'll now have to appear before the parole board.

Johnson disappeared in September 2010 in Covington after she left her mother's house to go out for the night.  She never returned.

Police in Covington have been following up on leads and tips in Johnson's disappearance for more than two years.

Paige's grandmother, Roderick, was with her as she got ready to go out that night.  Two years to the day Johnson disappeared,  she came to the spot, 15th and Scott Streets, where Bumpass claims he dropped her off that night.

Bumpass has never been charged with her disappearance and won't talk to police.

Police have searched for Paige to no avail. In 2010, police searched East Fork State Park. and in July, a tip led police to search an area in Knox County, Kentucky.

Bumpass was orginally jailed on a theft charge.

I still think Jacob Bumpass killed that girl. Too bad the police can't do what they did back in the 1950's- beat a confession out of him with a rubber hose!!

Linda Bumpass is not "Caring Parent" though a caring parent. Why do you even bother to make such crazy comments? Caring parent made a valid point though. The screenshot of you posting that Paige's mom and grandmother were with you in Indiana was viewed by many when it posted. Question remains why the stories keep conflicting. What is the big deal with the truth? Why did you post that comment to FB about them being with you in Indiana when you now say here that they weren't there? Accusing everyone who sees the discrepancies with being Linda Bumpass so who is muddying waters?

Rachel They said the same thing when they found the bottles in the trach. I told them the can was mine and i took it over to jakes house so they could get the trach out to the street. I also told Her the PO that the bottles was ones my daughter or I had drank!!! She said Jake was not in any trouble and they did not have enough to arrest him, but they sure came back and took him to jail and that is when they said he ran. Bullsh*t he did not run. And as for him not talking to the police that was all a lie aswell I was talking with him when his lawyer called to inform him the the cov. police had not returned any of his call for them to come in and talk to them!!! Did you see what i said ANY of his calls lol. Also when they the P O and the two covington ploice officers that came here and searched the trach The P O told me by law i was the landlady I have to let them in the house. I was not aloud to stay there when they went in the house.... Now I know that I did not have to let them in if they did not have a warrant. So you see they do what they want.

Caring parent you make me laugh at your comments, this has to be Linda Bumpass, Jacob"s caring parent, I am the sister of Roderick, and no Linda you are wrong again, Paige's Mother was not at my house when your son so called dropped her off in Covington, I guess your son likes spending time behind bars, he sure ends up there quite often, what is it now, not even 3 months that he has been released from jail? Go figure that one out.

Hingindude, your attempts to mask the truth become humorous to a degree... well as much as your coverup of an O.D. can be. As the commenter here commented, Paige's sister was wearing Paige's hoodie the weekend after she disappeared. Paige's sister said Paige died in a heroin overdoes. She seems quite positive about that. Her being a heroin addict and having skipped out of rehab currently being housed in Boone County detention center for skipping out of rehab, well considering they say she is addicted to heroin we sit up and take note when she says quite positively that Paige died in a heroin overdose. Wearing her hoodie and says she died of a heroin overdose when she was on her way to her sister's that night? Doesn't take a rocket scientist.

Not that it matters to most posters, but the Prosecutor is wrong. It wasn't Jacob's home. The home belongs to a man in his 40's and 6 adults plus Jacob were living there. One of them had 2 beers in the fridge. Even knowing the rules, somehow one of them didn't clear the house out well enough. None of them have a record which says something it being KY. Still Jake's fault. He abided by conditions of his parole, hasn't had a drink in years now, etc. Didn't matter. They violated him anyway.
