The westbound direction of Columbia Parkway between Martin Drive and the Third St./Fort Washington Way exit ramp remains restricted to one lane for the morning rush hour today, after engineers continue to battle a slipping hillside.

City crews will continue removing dirt from the hillside to alleviate a potential hazard of a landslide.  Earlier this week, while trying to clean up the slide, the hillside started moving again and engineers decided it was too dangerous to leave all the westbound lanes open.

It's not clear how long the lane restriction will be in place. All exit and entrance ramps remain open during the work.

Sadly Cincinnati used to have some outstanding news photogs. And they had to use FILM and DEVELOP it. With the digital technology today the best we can get is a cellphone snap (submitted by a citizen) or a stock photo that the person picking it doesn't even realize is totally inappropriate. Remember Mr. Swaim (this stupid site won't let me use his actual first name.. stupid!!) with the Enquirer? I'd love to see his unpublished collection.

I wonder how long it's going to take before the "big one" comes along and takes out the entire four lanes of the parkway and poss damages the roadway in general.

winston: I used to have an expression that went "poorer than a toothbrush salesman in Tennessee." My new one is "poorer than a news photographer in Cincinnati."

12 can't even come up with a picture of Columbia Parkway? I really need to get into the stock photo business.
