Newport Oktoberfest (Riverfront)
The Cincinnati Beer Run celebrates a renaissance of the rich brewing history that once defined the Queen City area.
In 2003 the Hofbrauhaus opened its doors in Newport, KY.
Two years later, a determined husband and wife maxed out their credit cards to start Mt. Carmel Brewing.
Today, the Christian Moerlein brand has been resurrected, giving hope to upstarts in the area like Double Barrel Brewing.
Join the special happy hour on Friday, September 28 as the first wave of runners will depart from the Newport Oktoberfest at the Levee at 7 p.m. and cross the Purple People Bridge to touch both sides of the Ohio.
Four beer stops later participants will cross the finish line and head to the Oktoberfest tent to enjoy live music and their complimentary pour of craft beer.
Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis will be the official starter of the race.
