FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Former University of Kentucky basketball star Tayshaun Prince is honored in the first of a wine bottle series that will benefit the Kentucky Agriculture Department's child nutrition program.
Elk Creek Vineyards' True Blue Legends series will be launched on Friday at the Elk Creek store in Lexington's Fayette Mall. Prince and Agriculture Commissioner James Comer will attend.
Elk Creek of Owenton is Kentucky's largest winery. It plans to release 21,000 limited-edition bottles of Kentucky Blue Riesling for $21 a bottle in honor of Prince's uniform number. The Agriculture Department says the bottles will feature graphics bearing Prince's likeness and signature.
