CLEARWATER, Fla. - A Florida man convicted of killing his girlfriend from Erlanger, Ky., will find out just how long he’ll spend in prison.
Jurors found William Routenberg guilty of second-degree murder in the death of Shanessa Chappie. It happened during an argument in June of 2011.
Chappie was from Erlanger, but had moved to Florida earlier in 2011.
Police found her body buried in Routenberg’s backyard in Clearwater, Florida.
Routenberg served as his own attorney at the trial.
