Police are looking for the robber who shot a Madeira store owner on Wednesday night.
The masked man walked into Madeira Beverage waving a gun and demanding money about 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
Police said he argued with the owner, 60 year old Roop Gupta, before firing four shots from a small black pistol, hitting Gupta once in the abdomen.
The owner's wife tried to help her husband but the robber grabbed her and threw her into a wine rack. She chased him out of the store.
Gupta was taken to University Hospital where he is in stable condition. Family members tell Local 12 News that his injuries are not life threatening.
Sheriff helicopters and a K-9 unit from the Sharonville Police searched the area but could not find the suspect, who is described as a black man, standing six feet three inches tall, with slender build wearing a black scarf over his face.
