A man suspected in four robberies of Family Dollar stores in Cincinnati will face a judge this morning on new charges involving a fifth holdup.
23 year old Maurice Jefferson of Covington is now accused of robbing the Family Dollar store in Reading on October 26th. Police say he walked up to a clerk, displayed a handgun, and told the worker to fill the bag with money.
Jackson already faces charges in a string of robberies including Family Dollar store in Carthage on Tuesday and last Friday, he's accused in two robberies that happened just minutes apart in Avondale and Roselawn, also at Family Dollar Stores. A shot was fired during one of those robberies, but no one was hurt.
Prentiss Avery is accused of being the getaway driver in one of prior robberies and now also faces a new charge of aggravated robbery for his role in the fifth holdup. The men were arrested Tuesday afternoon after that attack in Reading by Cincinnati Vortex units, who recognized their car from a police bulletin issued just minutes after the robbery.
