Who do you people are to judge this man? He lives 2 doors down from us. My husband and William were Best friends since 1985. Nobody has the right to say anything negative about him, especially if you don't know him.... He don't deserve all the negative crap some of you are saying. If you would've of known him... He was a great friend, loved kids, funny. He'd always bring a smile to your face. That's what made him such a great to want to be around.

I think some people don't realize what they post on here may be read by family members who very much loved this young man.. And how tragic it has been for his mom and dad..Well I do because he is my 2nd cousin and I hope to God his mom doesn't have to read your nasty comments you have written as devastated as she is right now after losing her only child...Please think before you post comments about people you know nothing about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a sad ending, prayers go out to the family and friends of this young man, and how sad it is that people get on here and say such thoughtless, careless words at a time when the family could use a kind word and prayers......cousin eddy you should be ashamed!!!

I'm sorry for his friends and family - horrible way to go. Alcohol and gasoline are a deadly combination... young man learned that lesson the hard way, for sure. Just glad it happened at an hour when the streets weren't crowded with innocent people.

Maggie22, the license plate could have been a temporary cardboard type.

It is hard to believe that the license plate just melted. Not impossible, I guess.

Eddy, I suppose if he bought the alcohol at a liquor store you think the cashier should be charged with man-slaughter? If he is of a legal age, he is responsible for his actions. Old-dirt- Don't you think the police know how to check for partial/damaged VIN numbers, or did you catch that on a re-run of CSI today?

The VIN and license plate both have raised lettering and they are too damaged to even take a charcoal rubbing to get most of the digits? Even a partial set from either with a local and then a national DMV search for a close model of pickup truck should narrow it down pretty well.
