A crash in the Westbound lanes closed both sides of I-275 north of Loveland-Madeira Road during the morning rush.
42 year-old Dale Braun of Harrison was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his Pontiac Grand Am. Braun's car went through the grassy median, struck a guardrail, overturned, and struck several vehicles.
Two other people were treated and released from Bethesda North Hospital. Braun was flown by AirCare to University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Both sides of the interstate were shut down so Aircare could land.
The accident remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
