A former CODE Union President finds herself behind bars again, this time in Butler County. Diana Frey was arrested late yesterday-hours after she was let out of the Hamilton County Jail.
Officials tell Local 12 that Frey is being held in Butler County because the county has a contract with the federal government to house federal prisoners. She is officially held on a federal fraud charge.
Frey was arrested on Friday in Hamilton County because officials said she violated the conditions of her bond--but those charges were dismissed yesterday, right before she was released from the Hamilton County jail. It's unclear whether Frey is scheduled to have another bond hearing.
Frey has been awaiting sentencing after she pled guilty to charges of wire fraud in September. She admitted to stealing more than $750,000 in union dues from CODE while she served as president of the union. CODE represents middle management employees who work for the city of Cincinnati.
