A Cincinnati Police officer somehow managed to escape serious injury when he flipped his cruiser during a high-speed chase on I-71 overnight.
It happened on the southbound section of the highway between Reading Road and I-471 around midnight. Investigators say the officer somehow lost control while chasing a station wagon, which sped off from a traffic stop.
The officers was not badly hurt. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out and later released.
The driver of the car got away but the vehicle was located later in Dearborn County. It had been burned and the driver was nowhere to be found. Police are still looking for the suspect. They haven't released any information about that person or said why they had pulled the car over in the first place.
