Cincinnati Police Officer Kevin Jones faces felonious assault and burglary charges.
He's accused of beating a woman so severely it left her unconscious.

Court documents claim Jones identified himself as a Cincinnati Police officer to get into the woman's apartment on Monday. He took a cell phone and then left the building.

On the same day, Jones allegedly beat the woman, pushing her head into a brick wall and knocking her unconscious.

The victim is reportedly Jones's ex-girlfriend. This is the second time he has been charged with a crime in the last 30 days. He's accused of hitting the same woman back in May.

Jones is assigned to District 1.  He's been ordered to stay away from the victim and not to have any contact with her.

He is out on a $70,000 bond.   Jones also is on a Juris Monitor that allows the court system to know of his whereabouts and for the victim to be alerted if he is in the vicinity.

I can't speak to your past experiences with Cinci PD and I am sure as within ALL police departments history you will see a number of "crooked good ole boys". Change is a gradual thing, there are no miracles. The current chief is that change that was needed. Like him or not, he broke the cycle of nepitism and good ole boy thinking. Chief Craig along with YOU are the pilots of change.

All too common? Thats a stretch Eugene! First time as with anyone, you are innocent until proven guilty. Second time in a month knowing the consequences...yeah, you deserve everything you are going to get. Even your application to be a mall cop is denied after you ARE found guilty! Po Jones... I mean the defendant, does not represent the overwhelming majority of the Cinci PD. Believe you me, not all officers belong to the "good ole boys club", as I'm sure Cincinnatus would like to keep it "EXCLUSIVE";) ;). 1000 perfect people (including officers) is not realistic view. All of you angels must have posted your comments from heavens Internet Cafe. For those of you who have never met a Cincinnati Officer, don't be swayed by the views of a few. PS.... Being an ex or current girlfriend by its self doesn't meet criteria for DV. You're welcome Mr glaziers930 and Mr Guru.

My last post was dropped. This was a ex girlfriend he attacked twice.Yet none of his charges are domestic WHY? The penalties are more serious when domestic violence is added. The courts frown upon those cases even more.It would ban him from carrying a gun.If anyone else was in his shoes all the charges would stipulated domestic violence. This just shows the double standered when police get in trouble.

This is what happens when hiring is done by "affirmative action" which means preference by skin color, rather than by using merit, skills, and ability. This man should never be a police officer again. If he treats the girl he loves this way, imagine how he treats a suspect.
