A Green Township grocery store was evacuated on Tuesday morning after a car hit the building and a gas main.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says 55 year old Marie Conners was backing out of a parking space at Hattings Supermarket on Bridgetown Road around 8:20 a.m. when her vehicle went into drive and struck the building and a gas main attached to the building.
The grocery was evacuated for a short time so Green Township Firefighters to ventilate the building of any residual gas. No one was hurt. Damage to the building was minor and the business is believed to be opening up, later in the day.
Alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the crash. Conners was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The vehicle is believed to have had a mechanical problem causing the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol.
