Lauren Tewes has been a busy lady. After all her family owns a turkey farm in Northern Kentucky.
The turkey farm located in Erlanger has been in operation since 1944, started by Lauren's grandfather, John. Now it's in the hands of Lauren's dad, Dan and his wife, Darlene.
"Fresh is best," said Tewes.
The Tewes expect to sell 2,000 fresh turkeys on Tuesday and Wednesday alone.
"Since they are fresh they do taste a little better," said owner Dan Tewes. "I tell people the only thing wrong with my turkeys, and the lady says "something wrong with your turkeys?" I say yeah, they taste too good you're going to eat too much. She says yeah I can see that. I've had 'em before and you do tend to eat a little more."
The farm will stay open Wednesday night until 8 p.m. The Tewes also sell fresh chickens and eggs. The farm is located on Crescent Springs Road.
They will be closed Thanksgiving.
