Well Cincinnatus, With all due respect I typically have similar points of view(s) but I can't beat up the management of these department chains. If they know ANYTHING by looking at their sales history they KNOW we are not in a "recovery" and they had better earn every damn dime they can, not only for their company but for their employees and investors who back them. The management is simply taking advantage of the fact that traditionally the day after Thanksgiving is a heavy volume sales day. You and I BOTH know that the VAST majority of these shoppers don't have a penny OR a clue but will "fund" their holidays with their "Credit cards".. and WHY NOT, Our President does it every day, not exactly setting a good example in the process. I can't overlook how insanely IGNORANT and FOOLISH those black Friday shoppers are. I watch the retail chains INCREASE the PRICES of their GOODS WAY OVER AND ABOVE THEIR NORMAL SALE PRICE THEN DRAMATICALLY LOWER IT and the foolish shopper perceives the sales price as a "savings"... Then again, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that MOST (NOT ALL) of these shoppers supported Obama at some point in their lives' if they don't still... (Really? Yeah I'm saying it) FIGHTS in Kentwood Michigan, Dallas-Ft Worth Texas, Omaha Nebraska, San Antonio Texas, Altamonte Springs Florida, even a SHOOTING in Tallahassee Florida.... 'Tis the Season... Merry Christmas everyone.

Stores that opened on Thursday have shameful management. They drag low paid workers away from their families on one of the most family centered holidays of the year just for a bit more profit.

It is interesting so far there have been no reports of assaults, parking lot rage, people being trampled to death, or dolls being ripped out of little girls arms. I went out once on this day too, and witnessed a couple of old ladies fighting over those toasties socks (that should give you an idea of how long ago that was).

Maybe or maybe not, here in Cincinnati, but we all know that there will be "Black Friday Madness" assaults, disturbances etc before the day is done..Better them than me. I tried it once for the experience..Never again..
