CINCINNATI - If you live anywhere in the Tri-State, no question about it, you've probably experienced the barely teen-aged temperatures and bone chilling wind that has enveloped the entire region.
So as far as a local contest is concerned, proving you're cold should hardly be a challenge.
Get Warm Go South, an arm of Atlanta-based Vacation Express, is calling for the Tri-State's Coldest Couples in a new contest.
You and your significant other could win an all-inclusive trip to a warm location including flight, hotel, and food and beverage.
Couples are asked to visit http://www.getwarmgosouth.com to answer a series of questions, which include:
1. When I arrive at my Caribbean vacation destination, instead of kissing the ground, I'll...
2. What is the most outrageous thing you've ever done to keep warm?
3. How far would you go to win a 1-week get-away from Vacation Express?
...and several others.
The Vacation Express team is judging the answers by creativity. The more humorous, quirky and downright funny anecdotes about staying warm this winter are encouraged.
The winning couple will be announced on Friday, February 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the Vacation Express Pop Up Shop. The shop is located in the entertainment district of the Gateway Quarter in Over-The-Rhine, at 1218 Vine Street.
In addition to the Coldest Couple Contest, passersby and those simply wishing to escape the cold can go to the store front at 1218 Vine Street and enter to win 2 round trip flights from CVG to their choice: Cancun, Punta Cana, or Jamaica through the street level billboard. It resembles a giant iPad, and allows passerbys to interact with the content on the board.
