Inmate Attempts to Postpone Execution

Updated: Friday, November 1 2013, 07:50 PM EDT
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) -- An Ohio death row inmate claims the state's lethal injection procedures are unconstitutional.

Ronald Phillips gave videotaped testimony Friday during a hearing.

Phillips says lethal injection would be a cruel way to die for two reasons.  First prison doctors could not find veins in his arms, only in his hand.  Second, the state will use a new combination of drugs for the first time.

Phillips is scheduled to die November 14th. Inmate Attempts to Postpone Execution
