Stocks Soar over Senate Deal

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Investors on Wall Street have been cautiously optimistic for a deal throughout the day.

the DOW was up 200 points in early trading.

Stocks rallied on news the Senate reached a deal to reopen the government and avoid default.  The DOW closed up 205 points, that's within striking distance of an all time high.

An indication of the market beginning to settle down after weeks of volatility is e performance of treasury bills.

Interest rates on t-bills rose slightly on fears the country may be headed toward default but then dropped with news that a deal had been reached. Stocks Soar over Senate Deal
