Federal Appeals Court Will Hear Arguments on Liquor Ban

Updated: Tuesday, November 5 2013, 08:09 PM EST
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A federal appeals court in Cincinnati will consider the validity of the ruling that strikes down Kentucky's ban on stores selling wine and liquor.

Arguments will be heard later this month in the case.  The ban is more than 70-years old and the appeal is being brought by Kentucky's Alcohol Beverage Control department.

A judge ruled the state's ban is unconstitutional because he says it violates the equal protection clause of the constitution. Federal Appeals Court Will Hear Arguments on Liquor Ban
