Level 2 Emergency Grounds American Eagle Plane

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- An American Eagle flight from Cincinnati to Dallas was grounded at CVG when the pilots declared a Level 2 Emergency.

The American Eagle network is a branch of American Airlines.

Flight 3162 had a smoke indicator alert go off around 7:30 Monday evening.  53 people were on board including the crew.  The plane was diverted back to CVG and landed without incident.

Passengers were evacuated as a precaution and transported to the terminal.  No injuries were reported.

Fire crews cleared the plane and maintenance crews are now looking at the plane.  Level 2 Emergency Grounds American Eagle Plane
