Woman Uses Tale of Child's Burial to Steal

Updated: Thursday, November 21 2013, 10:29 AM EST
BELLEVUE, Ky. (WKRC) --  Bellevue police need your help finding a thief, who told a sad, but false story, as part of a theft.

The woman in the lower right of the picture told employees at Virgil's Restaurant on Sunday that she was raising money for her 6-year-old nephew's burial expenses. She claimed to have names and amounts of donations from nearby businesses to back up her story.

While waiting to talk to the owner of the restaurant, the woman is believed to have stolen a cell phone and two credit cards for an employee.

When police identify her, they plan to charge her with burglary and two counts of unauthorized use of a credit card.
