Meth Discovered in Bottle Cooking

Updated: Wednesday, October 30 2013, 10:37 PM EDT
CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A bottle with the ingredients for crystal meth inside was about to blow when Clinton County investigators found it Wednesday.

Deputies say it was "cooking" inside a home on Creek Road near Clarksville Wednesday morning.

What is known as the "shake and bake" method of cooking meth is considered more dangerous than makeshift labs.  The ingredients are combined in a bottle and shaken to make the drug.  But pressure can cause it to burst.

Steven Doan sent deputies to the home after they stopped him in a car.  He was a passenger, but they recognized he was wanted on a parole violation.

Doan did prison time for making meth.  Deputies also found drugs in the car.
