Man Shot in Colerain Township Home

Updated: Tuesday, November 19 2013, 11:40 PM EST
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Angela Ingram) -- A man has been shot in his home in Colerain Township Tuesday evening.

A 22-year-old male was taken to the hospital.  Police are trying to piece together exactly what happened.

There was still a heavy police presence at 11p.m. Tuesday evening.  Police are saying the man was shot in his leg but have not released what led up to the shooting.

Sheriff's deputies and Colerain Township police officers were on the scene of the two family home on Commodore Lane.

Police say the man was shot once in his leg and then rushed to UC Medical Center.  There was a woman inside of the home at the time of the shooting.  She was not hurt.

Police have not released any suspect information.

Officials say the man has been cooperating somewhat with police giving them some information, but they feel he could be a little more forthcoming.

Police have been in the building's back parking lot looking at a car but have not released any information linking the shooting to the vehicle.

Officers have been going door to door and interviewing neighbors for information regarding the shooting.

Initially police received reports it was thought the man was shot multiple times and the woman was kidnapped from the home.  This was later proven false when police confirmed contact with the woman and she had not suffered any harm.

Neighbors report hearing multiple shots, the situation is still under investigation.Man Shot in Colerain Township Home
