Updated: Tuesday, December 3 2013, 01:03 AM EST
WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) -- A man admits his role in a deadly shooting Monday.

20-year-old Eugene Dukes escaped a potential life sentence by pleading guilty to manslaughter instead of facing a murder trial.

Dukes shot Kendall Hampton at least nine times in Walnut Hills in August of last year.  The judge immediately sentenced Dukes to 19 years in prison.
