1736- Patrick Henry is born.  He spoke the famous words, "Give me Liberty or give me Death!"

1848- Wisconsin becomes the 30th state to join the United States.

1916- The official flag of the President of the US was adopted.

1953- The first climbers to ever reach the summit of Mt. Everest arrived.
