1964- Reds Hall of Famer, Barry Larkin, is born.

1967- Muhammad Ali refuses induction into the US Army and is stripped of his boxing title.  He cited religious ground for his refusal.

1999- Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

2000- Jay Leno receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
