Girl with leukemia leads grand prom march
ESTACADA, Ore. (WKRC) -- A 3-year-old girl fighting leukemia got her wish to be a princess when she got to lead Estacada High School's Prom Grand March.
Audrey Hohman was diagnosed with leukemia in August, but is now in remission.
Meaghan Thwratt is a friend of Audrey's family and says she's inspired by the little girl's strength and that she thought she deserved some special recognition.
So Audrey got to escort Meaghan, the prom's Senior Princess down the stage for the prom's Grand March.
"I told her that she inspires me and that I want to be like her whenever I grow up," says Thwratt.
Many people in the town have attended fundraisers for Audrey, and Audrey says she appreciates the support she gets from the community.
