Warren County Combined Health District will be administering the nasal Flu Mist vaccine for H1N1 on Tuesday 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Municipal Building at 6000 Mason Montgomery Road. There will be no charge for the vaccine.
The following individuals are eligible to receive the H1N1 Flu Mist vaccine at this time:
*Two years through 24 years of age
* From 25 years through 49 years of age and live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age or are healthcare or emergency personnel.
If you have had the Season Flu Mist you must wait at least 2 weeks, preferably 4 weeks before getting the H1N1 Flu Mist.
Certain groups should not get nasal vaccine such as: pregnant women, children and adults with longterm health problems, children from birth to 2 years of age, individuals 50 years of age and older, anyone in close contact with a person with a severely weakened immune system, and children or adolescents on long term aspirin treatment.
The Hamilton County Board of Health is planning another round of H1N1 vaccinations. On Thursday from 3-9 p.m., shots will be given in the Forest Hills School District.
But some parents whose children have already suffered flu symptoms have questions about whether to get their children vaccinated.
On Local 12 Monday night, the Health Department answered that question-
