The National Park Service confirms two people were killed when severe storms ripped through the Great Smoky Mountains.

One man died riding a motorcycle when he was struck by a tree during the storm.

A 41-year-old woman camping in the woods died when a tree fell on her. She was at the Abrams Creek Campground when the tree struck her and three others.

A seven year-old girl who was struck went into cardiac arrest, but was revived when friends performed CPR. She was taken by helicopter to a hospital.

Her father suffered a broken back.

Officials are not releasing any names at this time.

Thoughts and prayers for those injured and for the families of the deceased. I was just down there 3 weeks ago. My worst fear when out hiking is a storm just like this blowing in when im miles from my car. It had to be scary.
