So, if a bear attacks somebody in New Richmond, the cops will say "can't help, nobody owns it?" Give me a break.

New Richmond has an unofficial wild bird that has attacked people on public property and they can do nothing about it? Animal control? Way to sound classy New Richmond, keep those drug running smoothly through town.

The bird is a wild animal who was allowed to walk on a public sidewalk and street. These anti human child, pro animal advocates belong in a zoo themselves. What should we do ,ban all children from public sidewalks so that pit bulls and peacocks can roam free? The Peacock people are nuts. I would say the father showed more restraint than I would have had in that situation. The City that allowed a peacock to assault a child should at least pay for the medical bills, and dispose of the peacock assailant.

What a cute little girl! Hope she'll be okay. I've been to a number of zoos and peacocks are roaming around freely. Why is a peacock any different than geese. They are freaking everywhere in large packs where I work. Disgusting green turds, and they will attack.

We should be asking why this kid's parents weren't paying attention to what she was doing or paying attention to what the bird was doing. People are so dumb sometimes, and yet they don't take responsibility, they blame a wild animal. We should be asking the city why they let this peacock hang around a public place.

These animals don't bother you (or your kids) if you keep far enough away from them, and, as parents, WATCH OUT WHAT IS GOING ON. Don't blame the bird for doing what comes naturally. That's just STUPID, which is what most people are when it comes to being around animals at 'petting/feeding' zoos.
