A Tri-State dentist was flown to University Hospital after he was shot in the parking of his office.

It happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday night on Shaker Run Road in Peebles.

According to police, 55-year-old Dr. James Franklin, was shot by his wife as they argued inside their car in the parking lot of the business.

Investigators said Pamela Franklin also shot her husband several times after he got out of the car.

A bystander put Franklin inside his car until an ambulance arrived.

Police are not releasing any information on the condition of Dr. Franklin.

Pamela Franklin is being held at the Adams County Jail on felonious assault charges.

i think it sounds premeditated...why did she have a loaded gun with her.....it should absolutely be attempted murder....getting shot multiple times is no accident.

I agree this is attempted murder. But watch how fast her lawyer runs the battered woman syndrome flag up the pole. She was in fear for her life, so she had to shoot him. Nothing in the article suggest Weapons under disability.

she shot him once in the car, multiple times outside of the car. yep, i'd say she was definitely trying to kill the dude. that's a minimum of attempted murder + weapons under disability charge, 15 year -20 year bid sounds like justice, or do it the Iran way, let him shoot her multiple times with the same gun. now that's real justice!

felonious assault?that's a joke!if he was unarmed, then she should be charged just like a minority would (african american, latino, asian, native american,eskimo,multi-racial,east indian, arab, etc.) She should be charged with Attempted Murder, Felonious Assault, Firing a Weapon in City Limits, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon (if she doesn't have CCW permit). justice should be color-blind and non-sexist.
