Thieves have stolen $800 in quarters from a local business.
The Monroe car wash on State Route 73 in Monroe was hit four times in a week.
The owner put up security cameras to catch this thief in the act.
The thief used a method called "stringing." He puts dollar bill in a coin changer and uses some skill to trick it into spitting out quarters.
So far, the thief has taken owner Dave Long for more than a $1,000. "That's a pretty big take when you earn your money a quarter at a time. You know, that's a pretty big hit on one of these washes," said Long, the car wash owner.
Along with the white Dodge Durango the thief was driving, he also drove a silver Pontiac Grand Am one night.
The thefts cost Long even more money since his coin changer was damaged and he had to pay to have it repaired.
