A Milford Township teen is under arrest, and his parents also face charges, in connection with a deadly motorcycle crash in Milford Township earlier this month.

17 year old Andrew Hensley was taken into custody this morning and charged with Delinquency by Reason of Vehicular Homicide, Failure to Yield from a Stop Sign, and Driving Under Suspension. He was taken to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. His parents, Larry Hensley and Joni Hensley, have both been charged with Wrongful Entrustment of a Motor Vehicle, and were issued citations.

The crash happened on May 2nd at the intersection of State Route 177 and Harris Road in Milford Township.   Deputies say 25 year old Donald Herbst was driving his Harley southbound on State Route 177 around 7 a.m. that day when a pickup, driven by Hensley, turned from Harris Road onto 177 and hit Herbst.

Herbst, who was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported by Air Care to University Hospital in Cincinnati. He died about 12 hours later.

Hensley was not injured.

jagershal - he had no driving privileges so guess what he should not have been behind the wheel and the police charging him after an investigation pretty much seals the deal . so lecture your friend about killing a legal driver on the road when your friend should have not been driving and his parents need to feel the heat for being an accessory to the death of an innocent licensed and let me add this again a legal driver .

I find it ironic that people pay no attention to motor vehicle laws until an accident occurs then they scramble to prove who's fault it is. You want to drive by the seat of your pants then you better make sure they have a belt attached. Don't want you to lose your wallet when it's time to pay the piper. Btw, those 'school bus yellow' license plates are a joke. Just ask anyone from New York.

Nate, his license was suspended for a reson, maybe he's just not ready to drive yet.Atleast he shouldn't have been THAT day, if he wouldn't have just blown off the law, and drove anyway, this wouldn't have happened, this "boy" is not the victim here.

Just letting you all know that as a close friend of the family of the truck driver, you do not know all the facts first hand. Do not judge by want you read or hear until you get all the facts. It does not appear as it seems. There are other facts out there and there is a witness that saw the whole accident, so don't judge others by their actions, unless you witnessed it yourself. It is a very, very tragic accident for all involved and yes lives have been ruined on both sides.

I agree With every thing you have said but we can all say what we feel but when we put children behind the wheel we have caused this... When we all voice our options we cause worse instead of better that was all I was trying to say

Nate8012, yes it is a terrible loss and I'm sure many here may have rolled through a stop sign and could have caused an accident. And yes this 17 year old will have to live with this the rest of his life. You ask us to think of these things and I'm sure we all do. Now here is something for you to think about, this poor 17 year old had his license suspended. That means he should never had been behind the wheel which is what caused him to have the a accident. It matters little what his family feels right now, they should have made sure he never started the car. They all will have to live with what they did, or more importantly, what they didn't do.

I am 23 years old ride a motor cycle and it is horrible we lost a life... But this is a 17 year old boy that will live with this tragedy for the rest of his life. So Maybe this boy don't need all you people to make him feel worse. I'm sorry for the loss of the family. But just think if this was your child that didn't yeild how would you feel to see all these comments.. Just think how many times you roll through a stop sign youve just been lucky so far think of that... Agian I'm sorry for the family's loss im sure he will be missed but never forgotten!

I had my license suspended when I was 17 due to two speeding tickets before I was 18. Neither ticket was for an excessive amount of speed, as one was for 5 over and one was 11 over (I thought the limit was 45 and it was 35). I was given the right to drive to work and school with the suspension, but maybe this kid wasnt.

so the kid had his license suspended, and the parents still allowed him to drive? Good grief.
