A former teacher jailed for having sex with her teenage students gets out of prison early.

A Warren County judge granted early release for Stacy Schuler on Tuesday.

The former Mason High School teacher has served one year of her four year sentence.

Schuler had sex with five students at her Springboro home in 2011.

She was convicted on 16 felony counts of sexual battery and 3 counts of providing alcohol to minors.

In court Tuesday, Schuler apologized for the pain she caused to the victims, their families and the community.

Her attorney argued Schuler should be released early because she has been a model prisoner and mentors other inmates.

The prosecution says her early release sets a bad example.

Schuler is on 5 years community control with several conditions. She must register as a sex offender every 90 days for the rest of her life. Schuler must also undergo alcohol and psychiatric counseling.

I don't understand how these women get away with this stuff. A man would have received a lot more than 4 years... and he'd have served every minute of it. Showing that she could behave behind bars only indicates that she finally had someone else in control of her choices. Putting her back on the street gives her back the control that she abused in the first place. 4 years was a light sentence...she didn't even serve half of that.

Oh good, let her out just before the kids get free for the holiday season. Is she allowed to wander the Malls? Like taking kids from the candy store.

Attractive women don't not have to register as sex offenders but they should register as sexual opportunities

This proves our system of law stinks. One person goes to jail, the other walks out scott free, both having commited the same crime. They both admitted doing it but one had a better LAWYER. Like it or not this is how it works, sadly.

@Linda, you are right I wouldn't. The fact is that boys and girls are different...no matter how much the media tries to convince us that they aren't. Also, the age of consent on many places is 16 and I believe (although not 100% sure) that all of the boys were 16 or over.
