A driver is charged with O.V.I. after smashing a car into a pole in Camp Washington.

Cincinnati Police said the woman lost control of her car just before 12:30 Thursday morning at the intersection of Hopple Street and Gerard.

The car then ran into a traffic light pole.

The driver was unconscious when emergency crews arrived. She eventually woke up and was given a field sobriety test. She failed and was arrested.

Police have not released her name.

I can't really see any damage to the car so I don't think she hit it hard enough to be knocked out.

So after hitting a pole, and being knocked unconscious, you are expected to pass a "field sobriety test"? Whats next, "field sobriety" tests after being tazed?

They know it was a woman and they know she was charged, but they don't know her name?

Was she unconscious from the alcohol, or from the wreck? Maybe the should have used the Intoxilyzer 8000 to determine which it was. Oh wait...never mind.
