FOREST HILL, Texas (AP) - Rev. Danny Kirk Sr. greeted everyone walking into his Texas church on Sundays with a big hug. He spent weekdays visiting folks in the hospital or doing household repairs for the needy.

Church members are now looking for answers following the violent death of a pastor they described as a "man of integrity."

Police in the Fort Worth suburb of Forest Hill say Kirk was killed Monday by a man who rammed a car into a church wall, then chased and beat Kirk with a guitar.

Police say they don't know the motive or if the attacker knew Kirk. The suspect, who police subdued by using a Taser, died after being taken into custody.

Associate minister Claudie Loftin says the 800-member church is grieving but will recover with God's help.

Well the ending of this story couldn't have been any better. The killer is dead...no tax payer monies will be needed to house his sorrow but & the Preacher's murderer has faced the music. Condolences to this Preacher's family & friends. Rest in Peace. Your work is now complete.

I hate to think this but, I thought for someone to be that mad to do what he did, what did the Pastor do to enrage that man? An affair or molestation? Sorry, just wondering.

Sounds like a mentally ill person who hated the minister for some reason - who knows the mind of a person like that. Prayers go out to the church and its memberes and the family of this man that so many people loved and the many people that he has helped over the years.
